Summary

Morocco

Link two of Morocco’s most culturally rich cities with an authentic slice of desert life on this experience, which includes time in Fes, Marrakech and the Sahara. Along the way, you’ll see just how diverse the history and culture of the country is, as you visit artisans and palaces, ride through the Sahara by camel and 4X4, overnight in a UNESCO-listed 11th-century trading post and discover Marrakech’s buzzy medina.

What makes this experience awesome:

  • Private holiday with personal guides and private transport included
  • Uncover the secrets of Fes’s artisans – including Yves Saint Laurent’s brocade maker
  • Camp and camel ride under the Sahara’s star-spangled sky
  • Criss cross the Atlas Mountains by dramatic mountain pass
  • Explore the UNESCO-listed kasbah of Ait Benhaddou
  • Carriage-ride through Marrakech medina to a fantastic riad restaurant
OVERVIEWWW

Your Awesome Experience starts with an access-all-areas tour of Fes’ fantastic workshops, meeting joiners, slipper-makers and even Yves Saint Laurent’s favoured brocade maker, before heading to a local house for a tea ceremony. Leave the city the next day, bound for a Saharan desert camp via the dramatic scenery of the Atlas Mountains – you’ll get to explore the dunes by camel before a night under canvas. On Day Three, take in the sights of Ouarzazate – known as the Hollywood of Morocco thanks to its starring role in a host of movies – before spending the night in the magical, UNESCO-listed Ait Benhaddou, an 11th-century trading post built from earth. You’re Marrakech-bound on your final full day in Morocco, to see famous sights including the Majorelle Garden and Koutoubia Mosque and go off-the-beaten tracks in its souks. Round off your break with a carriage ride to one of our favourite restaurants, for dinner in an authentic riad.
