Spend three nights in luxury in the beautiful Austrian city of Salzburg, birthplace of Mozart, during the buzz of the world famous Salzburg Festival. Divided by the Salzach river and topped by opulent palaces, baroque domes and ancient squares, Salzburg is among the world’s prettiest cities. A UNESCO heritage site since 1997, it’s particularly enchanting during summer, when the world’s most acclaimed musicians congregate in the city to put on operas and concerts in historical venues including Cathedral Square, St Peter’s Monastery and the Summer Riding School amongst others. This year promises to be extra-special: not only is it the 100 year anniversary of the festival, it’s also 250 years since the birth of Beethoven.
