Day Two: To Petra
It’s time to see Jordan’s most famous site: the incredible ruins of Petra. We’ve organised for an expert private guide to show you the highlights of this unmissable historic city – including the Treasury, Street of Facades, Theatre, Colonnaded Street and more. If you’d like to punctuate your visit with an unforgettable lunch, we can arrange an optional meal at the internationally renowned Basin Restaurant, situated at the heart of the ancient city, surrounded by the ruins (for details, see the Extras tab). Your guide will follow the pace set by you, but after eating, there will be plenty of time to see the Monastery or High Place of Sacrifice before returning to your hotel for the evening.

Day Three: The desert of Wadi Rum
Now it’s time for something completely different: the undulating desert of Wadi Rum. After driving to its visitors centre, you’ll meet your private guide for a Jeep safari through the empty landscape, known as ‘the Valley of the Moon’, which was formed over millions of years by wind and rain and is made up of monolithic rock formations reaching heights of up to 1750m! Traverse the sands by car, before stopping to explore on foot, and break up the day with a private barbecue of freshly-prepared food with spectacular views for company. Afterwards, check in at the Hyatt Regency Aqaba Ayla, a spectacular five-star resort in a fabulous setting in the seaside resort of Aqaba.
