Break for coffee, cake and local delicacies by a cabin’s roaring fireside, before continuing your adventure. After your morning’s activity, there’s time to relax at the Aurora Spa, a stunning spa with a steaming outdoor pool set in the snow. Unwind in the aromatic sauna, exfoliate with fresh birch leaves or moisturise with pine-scented natural oils. After a relaxing afternoon, set off in search of the Northern Lights – wearing snowshoes. Immerse yourself in the environment as you track towards the best areas to view one of nature’s most amazing spectacles. Your guide will let you set the pace, meaning the trip is suitable for all levels of fitness.

Day Three: Northern Light safari by dog sled
Before another night spotting the Northern Lights, there’s the chance to choose between two optional excursions (for more information please see Extras tab). Nature lovers can traverse the landscape by minivan, searching for wild moose along the Kalix River Valley on a safari that allows plenty of photo op stops and includes a splendid al fresco lunch. Alternatively, try your hand at cross-country skiing beside the Torne River. Embrace the silence and peace as you slide across the landscape, finishing with a ski through the forest towards lunch at a traditional Lappish cabin. Later, you’ll set off on a once-in-a-lifetime search for the Northern Lights by dog sled. Heading off into the stillness of dusk, you’re enveloped by the silence of the forest as you traverse frozen lakes and swamps. Even if you don’t see the Aurora Borealis, this is an unforgettably magical experience.

Day Four: Towards the Aurora
After breakfast, you’ll transfer to the rail station to take the train to Abisko, passing frozen lakes and snowy mountains as you travel along the tracks. You’ll be picked up by a driver at the other end and transferred to your hotel in the village where you can relax for the afternoon. Tonight, you’ll be visiting the Aurora Sky Station, the best place in the world from which to see the Northern Lights. Located at the top of Mount Nuolja, 900 metres above sea level, it’s far from distracting noise and light. On this exclusive dinner trip, you’ll start with a chairlift ride up the mountain, allowing your eyes to adjust slowly to the darkness of the park. Follow your ride with a delicious four-course dinner, then learn more about the lights during a guided tour. Afterwards, there will be further free time to admire the lights by yourselves.
