Day Two: Time to explore
Fall in love with this perfectly positioned city during a morning’s private walking tour. Founded more than 900 years ago, the city has its routes in Viking times and served as the home to the Hanseatic League during several hundred years of prosperous trade between Norway and the rest of Europe. Surrounded by seven mountains, it’s home to the historical Hanseatic Wharf and the lively fish market, both of which you’ll see on your travels. Come afternoon, enjoy a self-guided trip on the Floibanen Funicular, which trundles high above the city for jaw-dropping views of the city and surrounding fjords.

Day Three: Cruise the fjords
Get set for a three-hour catamaran cruise exploring the stunning Norwegian fjords. You’ll travel under vast Nordhordland Bridge and up Osterfjorden to the jaw-dropping scenery of Hordaland province, passing deep inlets, steep mountains and finally reaching the mighty waterfalls of the Mostraumen Strait: there, you’ll sail right up to the waterfall to catch a bucket of ice cold, pure mountain water to sample. Afterwards, there’s the option to get further into the fjords on a trip aboard the Flam railway, a 20km track that runs through some of Norway’s most remarkable scenery. After disembarking, you’ll take a boat on the Aurlandsfjord and the narrow Naeroyfjord before returning to the railway. For related costs, please see the Extras tab.
